Signing of the "Treaty on friendship, cooperation and partnership between Ukraine and Russia"

On May 31, 1997, the Treaty on Friendship, Cooperation and Partnership between Ukraine and Russia was signed. The treaty enshrined the principles of partnership and recognition of the inviolability of existing borders.
