The TV film "Hilarion Sventsitsky. On the Journey of the Ages" is dedicated to the life and legacy of the Ukrainian scholar-Slavist, founder of the National Museum in Lviv (now the National Museum named after Andrey Sheptytsky) Hilarion Semenovich Sventsitsky.

Reference: Ilarion Sventsitskyi is a Ukrainian philologist, ethnographer, museologist, Doctor of Philological Sciences, full member of the National Museum of Lviv. For almost half a century, he headed the National Museum in Lviv, turning it into a leading scientific and artistic institution. The author of works on linguistics, paleography, art history, bibliography, and philosophy, he was also one of the first professional museologists in Galicia. In conditions of repression and censorship, he courageously defended Ukrainian cultural values, for which he was persecuted by the Soviet authorities.

The TV film "Unfinished Portrait. Heorhiy Narbut" is dedicated to the outstanding Ukrainian artist Heorhiy Narbut. It tells about the life and creative path, contains photos and works of the artist from the personal archive of the family. Memories of the artist were shared by his son, Danylo Narbut.

Reference: Heorhiy Narbut is a Ukrainian graphic artist and illustrator, one of the most prominent masters of book graphics of the early 20th century. The author of the first Ukrainian state symbols - banknotes and postage stamps of the Ukrainian People's Republic, co-creator of the State Emblem and Seal of the Ukrainian State. Narbut was the rector of the Ukrainian Academy of Arts and had a great influence on the formation of a new Ukrainian artistic style in graphics. His legacy, in particular, "Ukrainian Alphabet", remains an example of high artistic skill.

Background: Ivan Chernenko is a Ukrainian military pilot ace of the 1st class, colonel of the Air Force of the 831st Airborne Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a participant of the Afghan war. He is a holder of the Order “For Courage” of the III degree.

In 1998, he became the only pilot in the history of Ukraine to complete a transatlantic flight from Myrhorod to Seymour Johnson Air Force Base in a Su-27UB fighter jet.

Reference: Ivan Kozhedub is a Soviet fighter pilot, Marshal of Aviation. He was born in the village of Obrazhiyivka, Glukhiv district, into a family of Ukrainian Cossack origin. During World War II, he became the most successful pilot of the Anti-Hitler Coalition, having won 64 confirmed air victories. He is the only Ukrainian to have been awarded three titles of Hero of the Soviet Union. Throughout his life, he repeatedly emphasized his Ukrainian origin and connection with his native Sumy region.

The film-excursion “The Artist’s Monologue” by Serhiy Yakutovych is dedicated to his own work. It tells about his approach, various works of art, and the features of illustration. Contains an interview with his wife and colleague.

Reference: Serhiy Yakutovych is an outstanding Ukrainian graphic artist, People’s Artist of Ukraine, laureate of the Taras Shevchenko National Prize. A master of deep historical vision, he created illustrations, in particular, for Mykola Gogol’s “Taras Bulba”, the French epic “Tristan and Isolde”, and Lina Kostenko’s novel “Berestechko”. Yakutovych’s works are distinguished by their special epicness and attention to medieval and Cossack images. His work is a significant page in the history of Ukrainian graphics.

The actress was awarded the Order of Princess Olga of the II and III degree, the Order of St. Anne, the Order of Archangel Michael, awards in the field of theater, and others.

The film tells about the important stages of Ivan Franko's life that significantly influenced his work. Having understood and adapted to local conditions the methods of hydrotherapy of the Bavarian healer Sebastian Kneipp, Tarnavskyi created a unique system of health improvement that combined water procedures, physical activity, psychotherapy, asceticism, and strict discipline. His sanatorium, known as the “people’s hospital,” became popular among the Polish intelligentsia of the interwar period and played an important cultural role. In Ukraine, the doctor’s name remained forgotten for a long time, but today, thanks to the efforts of scientists and enthusiasts, his legacy is gradually returning to public memory.
