Reference: Petro Benyuk is an outstanding Ukrainian theater and film actor, People's Artist of Ukraine (1996). A graduate of the Kyiv Theater Institute, he worked at the National Academic Ukrainian Drama Theater named after M. Zankovetska in Lviv, where he played over 70 roles. Laureate of many competitions and film festivals, awarded the Order of Merit of the 3rd degree.

The video shows the Kharkiv State Academic Ukrainian Drama Theater named after Taras Shevchenko “Berezil”, founded by Ukrainian director and actor Les Kurbas. A sign with the inscription “Quiet! There is a performance”, a box with attributes, actors playing on stage, an auditorium, a paper appeal of the theater staff to political parties due to the emergency state of the theater building: collapsed plaster, bricks, cracks. The facade of the theater, memorial plaques to Leonid Bykov, Marian Krushelnytsky, and Les Kurbas.

Kyiv, April 29, 2005. A story about the dismissal of the general director and artistic director of the Lesya Ukrainka Russian Drama Theater (now the Lesya Ukrainka National Academic Drama Theater) Mykhailo Reznikovich.

Reference: In April 2005, Mykhailo Reznikovich was dismissed from the position of general director and artistic director of the Lesya Ukrainka Russian Drama Theater due to his support for Viktor Yanukovych in the elections. This decision caused a wide resonance in theater circles and society. In December of the same year, he was reinstated in his position.
