Note: The Committee on Economic Cooperation between Ukraine and the russian federation is an intergovernmental body established to coordinate bilateral economic integration in the fields of energy, transport, industry, and investment. Reference: Ukraine's participation in the peacekeeping mission in Iraq lasted from 2003 to 2005 and was one of the largest in the multinational force led by the United States. In December 2005, after a phased withdrawal of troops, Ukraine completed its operation, which included the participation of about 1,600 servicemen, stationed mainly in Wasit province. For the successful completion of tasks, some of the Ukrainian peacekeepers were awarded state decorations, in particular the orders and medals "For Merit" and "For Courage".

For reference: The second presidential election in Ukraine took place in 1994. They were called ahead of schedule. Seven candidates received official registration. Six of them ran as self-nominated candidates: Valeriy Babych, Volodymyr Lanovyi, Ivan Plyushch, Petro Talanchuk, Leonid Kuchma, and the current president Leonid Kravchuk. The only candidate delegated by the Socialist Party of Ukraine was Oleksandr Moroz. 

On June 26, Leonid Kravchuk won the first round of elections with 37.7% of the vote. Leonid Kuchma came in second with 31.1%. On July 10, the second round was held. Leonid Kuchma won the election: 52% to 45% of the vote for the incumbent President Leonid Kravchuk.

Reference: In August 2011, the Pechersky District Court of Kyiv considered the so-called "gas case" against former Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko.
