Reference: Ivan Drach is a Ukrainian poet from the sixties, playwright and screenwriter, one of the leading figures of the cultural and political revival of the second half of the twentieth century. As the first chairman of the People's Movement of Ukraine (1989–1992), he played a key role in the transformation of cultural opposition into a mass national-democratic movement at the end of the Soviet era.
