Reference: The National Art Museum of Ukraine (NAMU) in Kyiv is one of the largest and oldest art museums in the country, the formation of its funds began in 1899, and the total number of exhibits is about 40,000. The collection covers Ukrainian painting, sculpture, graphics and icon painting from the 12th to the 20th centuries, in particular icon painting, ancient polychrome sculpture, Cossack portraits of the 18th century and folk paintings of the "Cossack Mamai" type. The museum also represents Ukrainian art of the 19th century, avant-garde, socialist realism, underground and the latest artistic trends of the turn of the 20th–21st centuries, forming a holistic historical panorama of the development of visual culture in Ukraine.

New Year's Crimes

May 19, 2005, Kyiv.

The video shows a rally organized by the Party of Regions and the Social Democratic Party of Ukraine near the Palace of Sports, where the opening of the international song contest "Eurovision-2005" was taking place. Protesters with flags and banners near the Palace of Sports, Party of Regions leaflets, police and BARS with a loudspeaker, participants painted in blue and white, protesters shout: "We want Eurovision", "Yushchenko gone!", "No to repression, yes to democracy", "Yushchenko is a disgrace", "Yanukovych is our president", people with flags of the European Union and flags of the Pora party, spectators gather for the opening of "Eurovision-2005".

Reference: On May 19, 2005, a rally organized by the Party of Regions and the Social Democratic Party of Ukraine was held in Kyiv. At it, Party of Regions leader Viktor Yanukovych and supporters demanded that the international community pay attention to what they claimed were "political repressions" and used the international song contest "Eurovision-2005" to attract the attention of foreign journalists.

December 27, 1997, a story about the opening of the Pecherska station. The video shows a ceremonial ribbon cutting, a tour, the President of Ukraine Leonid Kuchma and the head of the Kyiv City State Administration Oleksandr Omelchenko, an empty escalator, people at the turnstiles and in the subway. 

"Pecherska is the 39th station of the Kyiv subway. It was built simultaneously with the next two stations (Druzhby Narodiv and Vydubychi), but due to difficult geological conditions, the construction of the station was frozen in the late 1980s and it was put into operation only in 1997, 6 years later than planned.
