"Live chain" of the catholicity

The video shows archival footage of January 21, 1990 from Lviv Oblast. On the eve of the 71st anniversary of the merger of the UNR and ZUNR in Ukraine, they organized the action "Live Chain" (or "Ukrainian Wave"). People came with yellow and blue flags, ribbons and armbands. The participants of the chain held hands, shouted "Glory to Ukraine!" and sang the song "Oh in the meadow red viburnum". According to various estimates, from 400 thousand to 3 million people took part in the action.

The "living chain" of unity stretched about 700 kilometers from Ivano-Frankivsk, through Stryi, Lviv, Ternopil, Rivne and Zhytomyr to Kyiv.
