“History Up Close”: Kost Bureviy

The video shows a clip from the Maria Zankovetska Theater's production of “Pavlo Polubotok,” host Anatoliy Ocholas in the studio, views of Donetsk and the city of Dimitrov (since 2016, Myrnohrad), Anatoliy Ocholas talking with K. Burevyi's sister, Paraskovia Dykanska, host and artistic director of the Maria Zankovetska Theater Fedir Stryhun in the studio watching a recording of a conversation with P. Dykanska, an interview with F. Stryhun, a letter from K. Bureviy's daughter Oksana Gasenko-Bureviy, and photos of the Orlinsky (Soplyakov) family.

Reference: Kost Bureviy (real name — Kost Konstantinovich Anders, 1888–1934) — Ukrainian writer, playwright, publicist, and theater figure of the Executed Renaissance period. His work was characterized by satire, innovative forms, and sharp social criticism; he died during the Stalinist repressions.
