2006, National Television Company of Ukraine. The documentary program “Bringing the World Closer. Boris Grabovsky” is dedicated to the Ukrainian inventor of the modern electronic television system.
The video features: opening credits, the folk museum of the Grabovsky family history in the village of Grabovske in the Sumy region, family history, archival photographs, film archives, archival video with commentary by Boris Grabovsky's wife, Lydia Grabovska, and the inventor's last footage in Kyrgyzstan. Reference: Boris Pavlovich Grabovsky (1901–1966) was a Ukrainian engineer and pioneer of electronic television, son of poet Pavel Grabovsky. In 1928, together with Ivan Belyansky, he made the first wireless transmission of moving images in history using the fully electronic “Telefot” system, which became the basis for modern television technologies. His inventions laid the foundation for the development of electronic television in the world.
