Reference: Yuriy-Bohdan Shukhevych is a Ukrainian politician, human rights activist, member of the Ukrainian Helsinki Group, a long-time political prisoner of the Soviet regime. Son of the commander-in-chief of the UPA, Roman Shukhevych. In the 1990s–2000s, he headed the Ukrainian National Assembly and the Ukrainian People's Self-Defense (UNA–UNSO), was a People's Deputy of Ukraine of the 8th convocation. Author of the law on the recognition of fighters for the independence of Ukraine in the 20th century. Died on November 22, 2022 in a hospital in Munich (Germany).
