Reference: Oleksiy Kakalo is a Ukrainian painter, Honored Artist of Ukraine, specializes in the genres of landscape and portrait, a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine. He studied at the Kyiv State Art Institute, worked in the art and production workshops of Chernihiv and headed the Chernihiv regional organization of the NSHU in 2000–2012. The artist's work is based on the traditions of classical realistic painting, characterized by compositional balance and consistent adherence to the realistic art school.
