Concert "A Song is the Soul..." to the 100th anniversary of the birth of Hryhoriy Veryovka.

The concert program includes songs arranged by composer Hryhoriy Veryovka: "Dibrovo zelena" performed by kobzar-lyr Vasyl Nechepa; "Oh, are you, earth, becoming young" —folk song and dance ensemble "Menshchina", director Volodymyr Kovinko; "The Boat is Floating"; "Somewhere at the Bottom of My Heart" performed by Viktor Subachev, concertmaster Natalia Kovtun; "Lyric Song" — performed by Viktor Goldovsky, concertmaster Natalia Bezpalova; dance ensemble "Druzhba", artistic director Grigoriy Horbachuk; "You Are on the River" performed by the Chernihiv National Choir of the Regional Philharmonic, artistic director Anatoliy Pashkevych.

Reference: Hryhoriy Veryovka is a Ukrainian composer, choral conductor and teacher, one of the key figures in the development of professional choral culture in Ukraine in the 20th century. As the founder and long-time director of the Ukrainian State Folk Choir (1943 –1964), he had a decisive influence on the formation of academic interpretations of folklore and the formation of a national choral school. Since 1964, the choir has been named after him.
