Reference: Yaroslav Omelyan — Ukrainian graphic artist, Honored Artist of Ukraine, member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine. He worked in the fields of easel and applied graphics, watercolors and posters, but is best known as the author of over 200 bookplates, which earned him a reputation as one of the leading Ukrainian masters of this genre. He survived the political repressions of 1950–1959, after which he formed himself as an artist in Ternopil, where his most important solo exhibitions took place.
