Reference: Mykhailo Baran is a Ukrainian bandurist, artist and sculptor, Honored Artist of Ukraine, one of the leading popularizers of kobzar and choral art in the Lviv region in the second half of the 20th century. Founder and leader of a number of amateur chapels and ensembles, as well as the initiator of the creation of public museums. In 1965, he formed a family trio of bandurists "Zhayvory", whose touring activities covered Ukraine and a number of European and non-European countries. The artist's creative heritage includes poetic and musical works, graphics and works in the field of sacred painting.
