Among the participants: Prime Minister of Ukraine Pavlo Lazarenko, German Ambassador to Ukraine Eberhard Heiken, Minister of Foreign Affairs Hennadiy Udovenko, Head of the Presidential Administration Dmytro Tabachnyk, Mayor of Kyiv Oleksandr Omelchenko.

During his visit, Kohl held talks with the country's leadership on political and economic cooperation. As a result, the parties adopted a joint statement on support for reforms in Ukraine and signed several intergovernmental agreements, including on cooperation in the fields of television, taxation, and the protection of the rights of persons of German origin.
