Reference: The liquidators of the Chornobyl accident include military personnel, state employees, and civilian specialists involved in mitigating the consequences of the 1986 explosion within the Exclusion Zone. Category I comprises individuals who worked directly near the destroyed reactor in 1986–1987 and received the highest radiation doses. Category II includes participants responsible for decontamination, construction of protective structures, evacuation of the population, and infrastructure restoration during a later period or in areas with lower radiation levels.
