Reference: Pavlo Hirnyk is a Ukrainian poet, a representative of modern Ukrainian lyrics, a laureate of the Taras Shevchenko National Prize of Ukraine. He received a philological education at the Kamianets-Podilskyi and Kyiv Pedagogical Institutes, and also graduated from the Higher Literary Courses. He worked as a teacher of Ukrainian language and literature and a theater worker, and was a member of the Writers' Union of Ukraine and the Association of Ukrainian Writers.
