The TV film "Ukraine of Yevhen Tovstukha" is dedicated to the life and scientific activities of the phytotherapist and writer Yevhen Tovstukha.

On the video: an interview-monologue with Yevhen Tovstukha, tells about the history of the use of medicinal herbs in Ukraine since ancient times, the properties of various plants and regional traditions of treatment; scientific works; materials from the personal archive of the Tovstukh family; processes of harvesting herbs and methods of treatment; fragments of a folk performance, songs and incantations are heard.

Reference: Yevhen Tovstukha is a Ukrainian scientist, a herbalist and writer, one of the leading researchers of Ukrainian folk medicine and phytoethnology of the second half of the 20th and early 21st centuries. Author of more than fifteen fundamental works on herbal medicine and folk medicine, in which he systematized traditional medical practices and integrated them into scientific discourse. In 1990, he initiated the creation of the first official author's "Phytocenter" in the world as an outpatient institution for treatment and prevention with herbal medicine. Awarded the Order of Merit of the 3rd degree and the Order of Prince Yaroslav the Wise of the 5th degree, laureate of literary and scientific awards for his contribution to medicine, culture and humanitarian knowledge.
