The documentary film "Return from Oblivion. Yukhim Mykhaylov" is dedicated to the biography and creative path of the artist Yukhim Mykhaylov.
On the video: art historian Yuriy Pyadyk at work; photographs of Yukhim Mykhaylov from different years; churches, restoration of frescoes; paintings by Mykhaylov; a story about the artist's biography, the fate of his works, attempts to save Yukhim Mykhaylov's paintings from the Soviet authorities.

Reference: Yefim Mykhailiv was a Ukrainian artist, poet and art critic, an active participant in the artistic and cultural life of Kyiv in the 1910s–1920s. His work combined symbolist and allegorical imagery with an interest in folk art, book graphics and art-historical studies of Ukrainian ceramics, graphics and song tradition. Repressed by the Soviet authorities in 1934.
