
Concert marking the 100th anniversary of Josyf Slipyj

19 February 1992, Lviv Television. Concert programme dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of His Holiness Patriarch Josyf Slipyj.
The video shows: opening credits, the National Opera of Ukraine, host and coordinator Volodymyr Lutsiv, Gioachino Rossini's ‘Stabat Mater’ playing, people presenting flowers to the soloists, musicians and audience performing the spiritual hymn ‘God Almighty, One and Only.’ The works are performed by: the Honoured Choir of Ukraine ‘Trembita’ (artistic director Mykola Kulyk) and the National Academic Choir of Ukraine ‘Dumka’ (artistic director Yevhen Savchuk); conductor – Yevhen Savchuk; soloists: Lyudmila Davymuka, Viktoria Maistratova, Roman Vitoshynsky, Leonid Tishchenko.
Seated in the box are the leaders of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church: Archbishop Volodymyr Sterniuk, Major Archbishop Myroslav Lubachivsky, Bishop Pavlo Vasylyk, and Bishop Mykhail Sabryga.
