"Vasyl Symonenko's Pink Swans: a movie

"The Pink Swans of Vasyl Symonenko is a film by Inna Didyk about the childhood and homeland of Vasyl Symonenko. The film won the first place in the nomination "The Soul's Inexhaustible Well" at the Kalynovy Ostriv competition in 2005.

Vasyl Symonenko is a Ukrainian poet and journalist, a member of the Ukrainian resistance movement, and a Sixties activist. He was awarded the Taras Shevchenko State Prize (posthumously). He was born on January 8, 1935, in the village of Biyivtsi, Lubny district, Poltava region. He died on December 13, 1963 in Cherkasy.
