Reference: Oleksandr Murashko is a Ukrainian painter, teacher and public figure, one of the founders of the Ukrainian State Academy of Arts. He was born in Kyiv, studied at the Higher Art School at the St. Petersburg Academy of Arts in the studio of Ilya Repin, actively exhibited in European art centers. In 1917, he joined the organization of the Ukrainian Academy of Arts, developed pedagogical activities and formed modern trends in Ukrainian painting of the early 20th century.
