Reference: On December 20, 2010, Yulia Tymoshenko appeared for the second time for questioning at the Main Directorate of the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine in a case of misuse of funds. On the same day, her supporters staged a protest outside the Prosecutor General's Office against her possible arrest, and she herself called the authorities' actions repressive. The Prosecutor General's Office announced the opening of a criminal case on December 15. Tymoshenko was accused of misusing €200 million received under the Kyoto Protocol. According to the investigation, the funds were used to cover the Pension Fund's deficit. Tymoshenko called the case fabricated, claiming that the funds were used for state needs.
