
Excerpts from the last court hearing in the UNA-UNSO case in 2002. The judge read the verdict throughout the day on December 25. Several defendants were sentenced to two to five years in prison.
In total, 18 members of the organization and their leader, Andriy Shkil, were tried. They were accused of organizing and actively participating in the mass riots of March 9, 2001, in Kyiv. At that time, there were clashes between participants of the anti-presidential rally and law enforcement officers near the building of the Presidential Administration of Ukraine.
