Reference: Oleksandr Bohomolets is a Ukrainian Soviet pathophysiologist, President of the Academy of Sciences of the Ukrainian SSR, founder of the Ukrainian school of pathological physiology and organizer of leading medical research institutions. Developed the theory of the physiological system of connective tissue and created anti-reticular cytotoxic serum. His works on endocrinology, immunology, gerontology and blood transfusion significantly influenced the development of experimental and clinical medicine of the 20th century.
