The documentary film "On the Threshold of History. Mykhailo Hrushevsky" is dedicated to the young years of the outstanding Ukrainian political figure Mykhailo Hrushevsky.

Reference: Mykhailo Hrushevskyi was formed as a historian in the Kyiv scientific environment under the influence of Volodymyr Antonovych, where he combined university education with participation in the Ukrainian intellectual movement and early research into the history of Ukraine. During the Lviv period (1894–1914), he headed the Taras Shevchenko Scientific Society, transformed it into a scientific center of European level and laid the foundations for the systematic study of Ukrainian history, in particular through the work "History of Ukraine-Rus".
