Reference: The Law of Ukraine "On Public Television and Radio Broadcasting of Ukraine" (No. 1076), adopted by the Verkhovna Rada on April 17, 2014, provided for the creation of an independent Public Broadcaster on the basis of state television and radio companies. The law became part of the post-Maidan reforms and was aimed at ensuring impartial information for citizens and reducing the influence of the state on the media. The National Public Television and Radio Company of Ukraine was created on its basis.
