National hero Ustym Karmalyuk

1992, Ukrainian Television. The documentary film "Ustym Karmalyuk. The Wrath and Pride of Ukraine" is dedicated to the national hero, the leader of the peasant movement in Podillia.

On the video: screensavers, the village of Karmalyukovo in Vinnytsia region, landscapes, the Museum of the History of the Village of Karmalyukovo, exhibits, archival documents, paintings. The program features fragments from Vasyl Kucher's novel "Ustym Karmalyuk".

About the historical events that took place in the first half of the 9th century, about the situation of the peasants and their illegal struggle against serfdom, are told by: great-great-granddaughter M.K. Karmalyuk; historian Volodymyr Vovkodav.
