All-Ukrainian charity event "Mercy" within the framework of which the first chess tournament was held in 2002. Ruslan Ponomarev, the youngest world-class grandmaster and two-time winner of the Chess Olympiad (2004, 2010), plays with people in a circle.

He was born in Horlivka on October 11, 1983, and studied chess in Kramatorsk. Ruslan's chess teacher was Oleksandr Shmykov. At the age of 13, he played in a championship in Slovakia, defeated adult players and had a FIDO rating of 2550.
