The film "Verkhovyna" is dedicated to the life and traditions of the inhabitants of the Verkhovyna Highlands.

On the video: men in Hutsul folk costumes ride horses, call out; meadows and forests, various shots of natural landscapes; Cheremosh River; historical information about the village of Verkhovyna (until 1962, the village of Zhabie) in Ivano-Frankivsk region, city views, shops, local residents; everyday life, children picking berries and mushrooms, a walk, mowers at work, pasture with cows and sheep, comments by local shepherds; winter Verkhovyna; embroiderers and weavers at work; decorated Christmas tree in the village, traditions of celebrating Christmas; nativity scene, locals sing "Oh, rejoice, earth", musicians play folk tunes; tourist base for recreation, winter ski jump, skier training; folk festival in the Carpathians, shepherds' outing to the mountain pasture, performance by a Hutsul ensemble.
