Reference: Hutsul ceramics is a traditional folk craft that has been developing since the 15th century, with the most significant centers in Kosiv, Pistyn, Kuty and Kolomyia. A technological feature is the unique technique of "rituvaniya" - painting a dried product covered with white engobe, followed by double firing. The ornamentation of the products includes stylized images of flowers, trees, animals, human types and saints, as well as everyday scenes from Hutsul life, which makes this pottery one of the most striking phenomena of Ukrainian folk decorative art.
