A story about President Viktor Yushchenko's visit to the Savur-Mohyla memorial complex in honor of Victory Day. Reference: Savur-Mohyla is a mound and the highest point of the Donetsk ridge, located at the triple junction of the borders of Donetsk and Luhansk regions and the state border of Ukraine with the Rostov region of the Russian Federation. During World War II and during the ATO, Savur-Mohyla was the scene of fierce fighting. In 2014, it became a strategic height, the site of some of the heaviest fighting in eastern Ukraine. After the territory was liberated, searchers discovered the bodies of Ukrainian servicemen, some of whom showed signs of brutal torture.
