Story for the 6th anniversary of the battles for Savur-Mohyla in the Donetsk region. Memories of the participants. Comment by the head of the volunteer battalion "Crimea" Isa Akayev.

Reference: Savur-Mohyla is a mound and the highest point of the Donetsk ridge, located at the triple junction of the borders of the Donetsk, Luhansk regions and the state border of Ukraine with the Rostov region of the Russian Federation. During World War II and during the ATO, Savur-Mohyla was the scene of fierce battles. In 2014, it became a strategic height, which was defended for 12 days by a detachment under the command of Colonel Igor Gordiychuk. During the battles, the commander of the volunteer battalion "Temur" Timur Yuldashev died, and Gordiychuk himself was seriously injured. After the liberation of the territory, searchers found the bodies of Ukrainian servicemen, some of whom showed signs of brutal torture.
