Reference: The National Round Table is a series of negotiations initiated by President Viktor Yushchenko on July 27, 2006 to overcome the acute political crisis that arose after the 2006 parliamentary elections and the protracted confrontation between representatives of the authorities. The main result of the first meeting was an agreement on the development of the Universal of National Unity - a political document designed to unite the leading parties around key state interests.
