Reference: Volodymyr Hnatyuk is a Ukrainian ethnographer, folklorist, linguist, secretary of the Taras Shevchenko Scientific Society. During thirty years of research activity, he recorded over 1,500 folklore texts, published about a thousand scientific works, including the six-volume "Ethnographic Materials from Hungarian Rus", and brought Ukrainian folklore studies to the level of European science.
