Information: Ternopil Castle (Old Castle) is a fortification in Ternopil, an architectural monument of national importance, built in 1540–1548 by order of the great crown hetman Jan Amor Tarnovsky. Over the centuries, the castle was repeatedly destroyed - from Tatar and Turkish attacks in the 16th–17th centuries to World War II — and was rebuilt in 1956. Currently it functions as the Palace of Sports with a sports school of Greco-Roman wrestling.
