On the video: the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, backstage, a meeting of the parliamentary faction "Movement for the People, for Ukraine" and deputies of other national-democratic parties, dedicated to the strategy of considering and voting on the draft Constitution of Ukraine at the plenary session of the Verkhovna Rada, scheduled for May 23, 1996; Mykhailo Kosiv's speech that the communist deputies will complicate the consideration of the draft Constitution, expresses doubts that it will be possible to vote in the first and second readings, in particular the articles on language and symbols, about the need for the president to prepare the draft for a referendum, Vyacheslav Chornovil comments in the background; Yaroslav Fedoryn's speech on the initiative to resign the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Oleksandr Moroz; Les Tanyuk about the strategy of actions in this situation and not agreeing to compromises; Tkachenko that it is worth observing legitimacy and achieving acceptance in the first reading, only after that it is possible to put it to a referendum; Chornovil expresses reservations about the agreed project, which contains several provisions that could destroy the state: the abolition of the market economy and the issue of Crimea; Vyacheslav Chornovil proposes to support consideration of the project in the first reading at the meeting on Thursday, and also to take into account the opinion of the members of the Central Board of the NRU, whose meeting will be held on Friday.
