Reference: Oleksandr Bulakhovsky (1888–1961) was a Ukrainian linguist, academician of the Academy of Sciences of the Ukrainian SSR, one of the founders of Ukrainian historical linguistics. He studied the history of the Ukrainian language, its origin, phonetics, grammar, and connections with other Slavic languages. He was the author of fundamental works that made an important contribution to the development of Ukrainian linguistics in the 20th century.
