The film "There I Learned to Love People..." is dedicated to the Ukrainian writer Mykhailo Stelmakh.

On the video: excerpts from the writer's works are heard, a voiceover tells about the author, shots of the village of Dyakivtsi, Vinnytsia region, the Literary and Memorial Museum of Mykhailo Stelmakh, children read the writer's poems, the last bell, laying flowers at the Stelmakh monument, a village hut where the writer often visited, sons Yaroslav and Dmytro Stelmakh talk about their father, the author recites his poems, an archival chronicle with the writer.
