His colleagues, associates, and loved ones (some speaking in Russian) share their insights on his attitude toward work, patients, and colleagues, as well as the everyday aspects of his private life and his perception of the medical profession: Kateryna Amosova, a researcher in cardiology and the daughter of the subject; Mykhailo Zinkovskyi, Doctor of Medical Sciences; Gennadiy Knyshov, director of the National Institute of Cardiovascular Surgery (1988–2015); Leonid Sitar, Doctor of Medical Sciences; Yuriy Panichkin, Doctor of Medical Sciences; Yuriy Shapoval, Doctor of Historical Sciences; Kateryna Chernushenko, Doctor of Medical Sciences; Yuriy Shcherbak, Doctor of Medical Sciences and writer; and Lora Kasatkina, Candidate of Technical Sciences.
The film features quotes from the book *Thoughts and Heart* (published in 23 countries) and Mykola Amosov’s diaries; it also includes excerpts from a 1983 television interview with the academician, as well as footage of preoperative preparations, patient examinations, and interactions with patients.
