Reference: Petro Kalnyshevsky is the last Cossack chieftain of the Zaporozhian Sich, a prominent figure of the Ukrainian Cossacks, a philanthropist and an Orthodox saint. Of particular importance is the Holy Trinity Church, founded with his funds in his native village of Pustoviytivka in Sumy Oblast, near which all-Ukrainian Cossack commemorations, the Kalnyshevsky Rada festival and events commemorating the chieftain's memory are held every year.
