The Taras Shevchenko Section at the Borshchiv Regional Museum of Local History

Ternopil Regional State Television and Radio Company, 2003. An episode of the program “Museums of Ternopil Region” about the Taras Shevchenko Section at the Borshchiv Regional Museum of Local History, which was the first in western Ukraine to put together an exhibition dedicated to the Kobzar.

On video: exhibits from the Taras Shevchenko Section at the Borshchiv Regional Museum of Local History, which include: over 300 editions of "Kobzar"; a lyre; a blueprint of Shevchenko’s dream cottage; copies of photographs, documents, and works that shed light on all periods of the poet’s life; photographs of Kremenets and Pochaiv, which the Kobzar visited; copies of Shevchenko’s watercolors of the Pochaiv Lavra; portraits of his friends and associates — Markiyan Shashkevych, Ivan Franko, and others; an altar with a copy of the death mask created by the sculptor Klodt; a copy of the memorial towel that was tied to T. Shevchenko’s cross during his funeral; copies of the artist’s paintings created by Serhiy Hlushchuk, Andriy Popovych, Vasyl Lopata, and other artists.
