Life and legacy of Hilarion Svientsitskyi

December 24, 1991. State enterprise "Ukrainian Studio of Television Films "Ukrtelefilm". The documentary film "In the Campaign of Ages" is dedicated to Hilarion Svientsytskyi —, an outstanding Ukrainian scientist, art critic, philologist and long-time director of the National Museum in Lviv.

The film tells about the life path of Hilarion Svientsitskyi and his scientific activities. Through the memories of close people and friends in the spirit, the figure of the scientist, his views and interests are revealed. Sisters Vera and Maria share their memories. The film also features the catchphrases of Hilarion Svientsitskyi. His work at the National Museum in Lviv is mentioned. The museum exposition, the library and icons created by Svientsitsky are shown. The story is complemented by family archival photos and footage of Lviv at that time — of its streets and people.
