"Thought about a song": Anatoly Kos-Anatolskyi

1984, Lviv. The program "Thought about a song" is dedicated to the composer Anatoly Kos-Anatolskyi.

Anatoly Kos-Anatolskyi walks the streets of Lviv, feeds pigeons. The song "To Youth" performed by the Baiko sisters is playing. In the composer's apartment, Kos-Anatolsky talks about his understanding of the song, remembers the birth of love for the song in his family and talks about his childhood. The choir performs "Nightingale Cymbals" and the song "Four oxen pass me". Kos-Anatolsky says that first a word arises, and then a melody. It sounds like "Oh, I'll go to the edge of the mountain".

The story continues in the Carpathians, showing the composer's home and his family of — children and grandchildren walking along mountain paths. Anatoly Kos-Anatolskyi mentions his compositional path in the post-war period. He improvises on the piano, plays the song "From Moscow to the Carpathians" and tells the story of its creation.
