The film "Kobzar Roads" is dedicated to the Ukrainian Kobzar tradition, folk thoughts and songs, kobzas and banduras, as well as people who explored and continued this tradition. Ukrainian folk poems and songs are heard in the film. Bandurists and researchers of kobzarism talk about folk dumas and ballads, the profession of kobzar, master bandurists, their own passion for music and the history of the kobzar tradition. Film has comments in Russian.

The captain of the Black Sea Passenger Fleet, Ostap Kindrachuk, plays the bandura, sings and talks about folk dumas and ballads. Bohdan Zheplinskyi, a technological engineer from Lviv, talks about his research on Kobzar creativity and the profession of Kobzar. Artist Georgy Tkachenko plays the kobza, sings and remembers his first meeting with kobzar and kobzar Yehor Movchan. Ihor Rachok, a resident of the village of Lavyrkove, Chernihiv region, plays the bandura, sings and talks about his passion for music, his father, the family and the life of people in the village in the past. Composer, People's Artist of the Ukrainian SSR Mykola Kolesa mentions the expeditions of his father, folklorist Filaret Kolesa, to the eastern regions of Ukraine. Oleksiy Nyrko, a teacher at a pedagogical school in Yalta, talks about master bandurists.
