"Travel sketches": what does the city of Skalat remember?

February 24, 2012. Ternopil Regional State Television and Radio Company. The program "Travel Sketches" tells about the history and present of the city of Skalat.

The material shows city landscapes, Skalat Castle, a monument to Bohdan Khmelnytskyi, a Jewish synagogue, a former NKVD prison and a monument to Jews. Old photos, books and houses of pre-war times remind us of the city's past.

The history of Skalat, its sights and the life of the city are told: the history teacher of the Skalat secondary school Viktor Katrusiak, the head of the Skalat department "Castles of Ternopil" Myroslava Smerechynska, the mayor of Skalat Nataliya Stankovska and the resident of the city Lyubov Dzhujuk.
