Vasyl Kaznovetskyi: master of cattail weaving

2010, Ternopil Regional State Television and Radio Company. The program "Treasures of the Family" tells about Vasyl Kaznovetskyi from the village of Mlynivtsi in the Ternopil region, an honored master of folk art who is engaged in cattail weaving.

The master remembers his father, who taught him how to make cattail products, and talks about his family and how he conveys the tradition to the next generation. The material shows Vasyl Kaznovetskyi's house, the streets of the village, his cattail products and awards. The master demonstrates the weaving process and tells how cattails are harvested and prepared before they turn into a finished product. His wife Nina Hryhorivna is also engaged in weaving, in particular, she makes caps for hats.

At the end of the program, a small room is shown, where Vasyl Kaznovetskyi keeps exhibits and dreams of creating a full-fledged museum.
