The Unforgettable program tells the story of the life and work of the Ukrainian impressionist painter Ivan Trush.

Ivan Trush was born in the village of Vysotsko, Lviv region, on January 18, 1869, in the family of a poor peasant. He studied at the Brody Gymnasium, but left the school because of his father's death.

In 1891, he went to Krakow, where he attended the School of Fine Arts, and then in 1894 to Vienna as a free student at the Academy of Fine Arts. He began the revival of Galician painting with his work.

Ivan Trush's oeuvre includes a significant number of portraits of prominent figures of Ukrainian culture, such as Ivan Nechuy-Levytskyi, Lesia Ukrainka, Ivan Franko, and Mykola Lysenko.

He died on March 22, 1941.
