Lina Kostenko: presentation of a new book

Video of the presentation of Lina Kostenko's new book, Notes of a Ukrainian Samashod, December 17, 2010. The novel was published by Ivan Malkovych's A-BA-BA-GA-LA-MA-GA publishing house. The first edition amounted to 10 thousand copies.

Dissident, sixties poet and writer Lina Kostenko was born on March 19, 1930, in the city of Rzhyshchiv, Kyiv region.

She was nominated for the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1967, along with Pavlo Tychyna and Ivan Drach. For her participation in the dissident movement, she was excluded from the literary process in Soviet times. She was awarded the Shevchenko Prize in 1987.
