Max Levin is a Ukrainian photojournalist, photographer, and documentary photographer. Most of his documentary projects are related to the war in Ukraine. He covered the Russian invasion of Ukraine. During the first five days of the full-scale war, he managed to publish photo reports from at least seven hotspots.
Contact with Max Levin was lost on March 13, 2022, when he went to the village of Huta-Mezhyrivska, Kyiv region, to document the consequences of Russian aggression. On April 1, after a long search, police found his body with a gunshot wound. According to the prosecutor's office, Levin was killed by Russian soldiers who shot him twice.
